Information Architect Job Description
We are searching for an information architect to join our Information Management project team to design and enhance our current information layouts and displays. In this role, you will need to research and develop information layouts to support our Information Management roadmap, with a priority focus on the Intranet, SharePoint and Document Management system and design our information layouts, according to UX trends and principles.
To ensure success in this role, you will need to have strong design and user experience skills as well as a flair for creating quality information flows and templates. You will understand the final product from a customer perspective and be able to rapidly change informational architecture design.
Information Architect Responsibilities:
- Meet with relevant stakeholders to determine project requirements and details.
- Identify key areas of enhancement and improvement in information architecture designs.
- Formulate prospective informational designs and templates for further development.
- Design prototypes for informational architecture flows and experiences.
- Develop draft information architectures for final products for use.
- Design information architectures to be interactive and digitally friendly.
- Work with other members of the project team on UX and UI design tasks.
- Update team members on information architecture design principles and developments.
Information Architect Requirements:
- Proficiency in designing layouts from start to finish — wireframing, site maps, and user flows.
- Excellent grammatical and design skills.
- Ability to understand consumer behaviour and market trends.
- Research and data analysis skills.
- Task-oriented with a passion for design and layouts.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Great communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
