We’re on the hunt for 2x innovative architects passionate about delivering scalable, high-impact technology solutions. Play a key role in transforming business needs into efficient, future-ready technical architectures.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to design and develop solutions that not only meet but exceed strategic organisational goals. You’ll have a direct influence on the success of IT/OT projects and ensure the seamless alignment of technology with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect Scalable Solutions : Design and deliver high-performance solutions across application, data, and technology domains, including detailed cost estimates and delivery approaches.
- Maintain Architecture Vault : Assist the Architecture Lead in keeping the architecture storehouse up to date, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of project architectures.
- Evaluate Technologies : Select and recommend appropriate platforms, tools, and technologies that align with Arc’s Technology Strategy, while staying up to date with the latest industry trends.
- Build Prototypes : Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations to validate the feasibility and performance of proposed solutions, addressing potential issues early.
- Risk Mitigation : Identify potential risks related to solution architecture, security, performance, or scalability and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders : Work closely with business analysts, project managers, developers, administrators and stakeholders to define business needs, translate them into clear, actionable technical solutions and ensure cohesive implementation of solutions.
- Documentation & Scoping : Create key deliverables to provide clarity and direction for successful project delivery.
- Performance Tuning : Monitor and assess the performance of implemented solutions, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal efficiency and responsiveness.
What you’ll need to be successful in this role:
- Qualifications – Formal tertiary qualifications in Technology, Business, or a related field
- Architecture Frameworks – Experience and/or certification in TOGAF & ArchiMate, or similar
- Microsoft Technologies – Proficiency in M365, Azure, and Power Platform
- Cisco Networking – Certification and experience with routers, switches, protocols, MPLS, and related technologies
- Security & Compliance – Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO27001 & NIST
- Systems & Technology Integration – Ability to ensure seamless interoperability across platforms
- Solution Governance – Experience in managing architecture models and technical decision-making
- Industry Experience – Background in rail or asset-intensive industries (beneficial)
- SCADA, IoT, OT – Exposure to these technologies is highly regarded
- Stakeholder Engagement – Strong communication and collaboration skills
