Are you an experienced Integration Engineer with a passion for building APIs and working on large-scale cloud migration projects? Our client is embarking on an 18-month project to replace their current system with a new SaaS platform. As part of this initiative, the team will be simplifying and centralising systems across the organisation, aiming for a single source of truth platform. You will play a critical role in executing this digital transformation project, supporting the integration of multiple disparate systems and redeveloping key integration areas. The initial contract will be for 12 months, with the potential for extension.
About You:
We are seeking engineers with a strong technical background in .NET (3+ years), APIs, JSON files, Kafka, and experience working with event-driven architecture and microservices. Experience with integration tools such as REST and SOAP web services, CI/CD processes, and XML technologies (XSD, XPATH, XSLT) is highly desirable. You should have excellent soft skills—being personable and a good communicator is key, as you’ll also act as a consultant to various parts of the business. You will be building APIs, developing integration interfaces, and supporting the HSEC Digital Transformation team throughout the project phases. Key Responsibilities:
- Build APIs and integration interfaces for the migration to a new SaaS platform.
- Support the HSEC Digital Transformation team with integration activities and deliverables.
- Perform analysis of input, internal, and output messaging.
- Plan and lead integration tests with external elements and sensors.
- Design, build, and maintain interfaces between different messaging structures and applications.
- Gather and analyse requirements, designing integration solutions in line with solution architecture.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other developers and team members.
- Report directly to the Senior Project Manager and Program Manager.
- Work in a growing team, starting at 15 members and scaling to 45.
- Experience with .NET, JSON files, APIs, and Kafka.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and microservices.
- Experience with REST and SOAP web services.
- Strong understanding of XML technologies (XSD, XPATH, XSLT).
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (GIT, SVN).
- Hands-on experience with designing and developing inbound and outbound integration interfaces.
- Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation.
