Over the last 12 years Phil has a carved a niche as a specialist recruiter working with the best candidates in Perth (Business Analysts, Project Managers, IT Architects, Change Managers and Business Improvement Specialists).
Since Co-Founding Verse Group in 2013 Phil continues to build meaningful long term relationships with candidates and clients alike.
He can often be found enjoying a ride on his motorbike or out on the water on a jet ski. When he’s not carving up the waves, Phil loves spending quality time with his family and 3 children.

Jeff Grbelja co-founded Verse Group in 2013 with the sole aim of providing an ethical, flexible and dependable recruitment service to their extensive network. Jeff’s long and prosperous career in IT stems back to 1995 and people return time and time again to reap the benefits of his unparalleled knowledge of the Perth market.
Certified as a Microsoft Specialist (MCSS) and with a background in IT Sales, Jeff has a deep understanding of client requirements, not just technically but on a cultural and strategic level. His clients and candidates rely on him to guide them on key recruitment decisions within Project and Programme Management, Enterprise Architecture, Business Analysis and Senior IT Management – including multiple CIO appointments.
Jeff’s enthusiasm for life is infectious, having completed numerous Iron Man competitions. He can usually be found running round the river at lunchtime or leading the Perth Cycling IT Professionals Group. The latter has seen him loitering around the Bell Tower every single Wednesday morning at 6.30am since 2012.
Josh commenced his Technology Recruitment career in 2011. With an in-depth knowledge of all things, software development and digital, Josh has established a fantastic reputation in the IT scene. His deep technical knowledge combined with his highly inquisitive and entrepreneurial nature means Josh is never standing still for too long.
A regular attendee at IT, technology innovation and business networking events, allows Josh to understand current and future trends and requirements within his markets. Josh is a devoted Newcastle United supporter…. Fortunately, his ability to gel with people and build solid relationships has not been affected in any way.
A connoisseur of whiskies of the world, Josh loves to compare notes on different blends whilst sharing opinions on politics.
Jilly McIlchere (Mak-el-kerr)
Jilly is from the Mull of Kintyre and graduated with a Bachelor of Honours in Marketing at the University of Stirling in Scotland. After graduation, Jilly worked in the travel/holiday industry before embarking on her recruitment career in 2004. Known as a natural high achiever, Jilly consistently exceeds expectations and has received multiple employee awards with her previous and current employers.
Jilly has relocated permanently to Perth with her young family and plans to settle here for the long term. Since joining Verse Group, Jilly has established herself as an expert in Infrastructure IT Recruitment within the Perth market and loves nurturing lasting relationships with candidates and clients
When Jilly’s not practising on her bagpipes, she enjoys a wee dram of Whisky while cooking Haggis. Only kidding - she loves spending time with her kids, running and entering races, visiting wineries, going out for breakfast and exploring WA!
Claire started her recruitment career in 2003. She relocated to Perth from Manchester in 2010 where she has developed her expertise recruiting in the white collar professionals market including Accounting, Procurement and Business Support . Claire prides herself on an honest recruitment process, truly understanding the needs of her clients and matching this to the expectation of her candidates. This approach has led to many referrals and continuous relationships over the years.

Claire is an avid supporter of Manchester United and spends her weekends watching her son and husband play football/soccer.
Clement has recently arrived in Australia with previous experience working in Europe across France and the UK where he specialised in Business Intelligence and Application Development. He works alongside Josh within the development team and looks forward to working with the best candidates and companies in Perth.
Clement is a very professional, communicative and social person. He takes pride in building long term relationships and working with integrity.
Clement is an avid Manchester United fan and plays football regularly for a local amateur team, he can often be found watching the weekend's games with friends.
Ramin’s first passion is communication. With a degree in journalism, Ramin loves nothing more than sitting down and engaging with candidates. She will ask the right questions to find out what they love about their career and where they are headed so she can match them with the perfect client. Seeing both parties happy with the outcome is what Ramin loves about her role in the Accounting and Finance division. Ramin is also a keen networker and is getting to know as many people as she can in the industry. Ramin is happy to admit that Verse Group has the best location, surrounded by the King Street Fashionistas!
Kelby has 6 years Recruitment experience in Perth. She has a Bachelors in Computing & Information Technology and is now combining her technical knowledge in conjunction with her recruitment experience to source and place the top tier developers in Perth. Working alongside Clem in the development team, Kelby has an ethical and transparent approach to identifying the best fit candidates for businesses. She has a natural communication style which candidates and clients relate to and maintains a good sense of humor. When she isn’t on King St you will find Kelby running around the Narrows Bridge with regular coffee shop breaks on weekends - Or you will spot the self-confessed foodie trying out new pop up restaurants on Beaufort Street.
Rebecca is a recent graduate of a Bachelor of Business majoring in Human Resources and Management. Originally kickstarting her career in Industrial Relations/ Employment Relations, Rebecca always had a desire to venture into the Recruitment field. Since moving into Recruitment, Rebecca has successfully developed her network and developed a sense of enjoyment helping her candidates and clients.
Rebecca is enthusiastic and always has your interest front of mind. She prides herself on her level of attention to detail and always ensures that she can mentor her candidates throughout their interview processes. Her persistence and diligence has successfully restored faith into businesses that have been burnt previously.
You would usually find Rebecca at a car cruise or cruising around the streets on her motorbike. When she’s not seen in the fast lane, she lives an ordinary life visiting her family and/or tasting Perth’s hidden food treasures.
